Working in nutrition, most of my clients are looking to lose weight. As we are surrounded by obesity and climbing health conditions, we forget that there are people who do not eat. We have both sides of the scale.
Even overweight people are in the category of malnutrition. Yes, you can be overweight and live in poverty. You can be working and hungry. We sometimes close our eyes and not see what is really there. Who are the hungry? Who really lives in poverty?
Personally I would hide from the facts myself, I would not want people to know I could not feed my family a good meal. There is so much behind the scenes that we only have the numbers but no faces to make it a reality to us.

Like this blog because it cuts out the bullshit and tells it like it is.
ReplyDeleteI dig this blog!
ReplyDeleteIt's really kind of a slap in the face about reality. Not only are the people without homes and jobs hungry, but people that are just like you and I are going hungry as well, and we'd never suspect it!
More than anything, I hate knowing that someone is going hungry!
Thanks for sharing.
